About us

Ashley Craft is a compact family business established over 27 years and have now moved to new premises in High Ongar. 

Ashley Craft offer a complete range of skills in bespoke furniture making from design to the crafting of the finished piece of furniture, all works are carried out in our own workshops.

We welcome enquiries for individual commissions and Interior Designer remits. 

Trained at the London College of Furniture during the 1960's in Furniture Design and Technology gaining the College Certificate at the end of a three year full time course.   Went on to complete a one year diploma course in Furniture Production and gain the college Diploma with Distinction.

On leaving college worked in the furniture industry for ten years with a high class furniture manufacture in a managerial position. Set up and has successfully run Ashley Craft for over 28 years. In that time the company has moved premises four times and has now been based at its current location in High Ongar for over a year.

Ashley Craft has worked on many prestigious projects over the years including City of London Boys School, Fords, City of London Corporation, Law Courts, Roll Royce to name but a few.  Ashley Craft are currently working closely with Interior Designers on many high specification projects in London. 

Over the years Ashley Craft has completed and am currently working on project for many individual customers.  With the experience gained Ashley Craft  can put together designs from their original concepts through the various design stages to the final making. 

Kenneth is member of the Livery of The Carpenters' Company and an active committee member of the Carpenters' Craft Competition. Crafts men and women can enter the Fine Woodworking Competition details can be found on
